Asalaamualaikum soon to be MacMSA Frosh!
May this reaches you in the best of health and emaan inshaAllah. On behalf of everyone at MacMSA, we would first like to congratulate you as you are about to begin this new chapter of your life. InshaAllah, we hope you will allow us to be a part of this journey as well! We pray that Allah (swt) grants you all success and happiness during your time here at McMaster.
With the start of school fast approaching us, we wanted to inform you of some events that might be of interest to you. MacMSA has planned a couple of events during Welcome Week along with lots of fun stuff in the weeks to follow. We want to welcome to you Mac, MSA Style! =)
1. On Wednesday September 3rd, come visit the MacMSA Booth at Clubsfest. Got any questions about where your classes are, about the MSA Office, how to get involved? No need to worry, there will be lots of volunteers and people to help answer all of your questions before the first day of classes!
2. And then on the first day of classes, come break your iftaar with us at our annual MSA BBQ! We're shaking things up a bit this year and presenting to you the first ever Iftaar-BQ! The MSA BBQ is yearly tradition where the incoming frosh have the opportunity to meet and mingle with other frosh and upper years. Come break your fast with your fellow brothers and sisters- there will be sports, games, prizes, delicious food, and much more inshaAllah! The event will be held close to Mac at Oak Knoll Park on Dalewood Ave on September 4th from 6-9pm. Oh yes, did I mention that all of this will be completely FREE! We just want to you come, have fun and relax - we'll worry about the rest InshaAllah, we shall keep you posted on more details in the next few weeks.
